Ben Blacka

Ben joined SCT in 2011 and has over 10 years experience in the mining
industry. His background is primarily involved in geotechnical and
hydrogeological investigations at SCT Operations. His expertise include:

• Geotechnical characterisation and investigation of coal mine environments
• Design and supervision of exploration programs
• Borehole Camera surveys and investigations
• Borehole permeability and hydraulic conductivity testing
• Geological and Geotechnical core logging
• Multi anchored surface extensometer installation and analysis
• Subsidence monitoring, analysis and modelling
• In-situ stress measurements and monitoring
• Proficient in mining software packages including Strata, Surfer and LabVIEW
