Prior to embarking on geotechnical design studies, the first step is to build a robust Ground Conditions Model. The Ground Conditions Model should identify the nature and distribution of geotechnical hazards for the project – and provide a measure of their variation and distribution.
SCT work with a range of preferred NATA approved laboratories to structure a testing program suited to your project. Drilling programs are expensive: ensuring the appropriate samples are collected, preserved and tested to quantify the right parameters is essential.
Understanding the variation in horizontal stress direction and stress magnitude at your site is the cornerstone to managing geotechnical risk. For nearly 30 years, SCT has been measuring stress at projects in Australia and globally.
SCT can assist with the evaluation and interpretation of wireline and image log data from a range of hardware platforms. We have worked closely with the major service providers and regularly update our WellCAD software platform with training from the ALT team.
